Punch Press Operator

Twin City Staffing is hiring a punch press operator for a high-precision metal stamping facility in Minneapolis, MN! Location: Minneapolis, MN

Wage: $20.00 – $28.00/hr. (Based on experience)

Hours: 1st Shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday

Duties of the punch press operator:

• Set up and operate punch presses and associated equipment to perform blanking, bending, and forming operations
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure precise part dimensions
• Measure finished components using shop math and precision gauges to verify strict tolerance specifications
• Maintain at least 80% production efficiency while logging quality inspection data and keeping work areas clean

Requirements of the punch press operator:

• Minimum 1+ year of manufacturing experience with direct punch press or progressive die setup background
• Proven capability to interpret tight tolerances (e.g., +/-.005) and apply shop math during inspection
• Basic computer proficiency for entering production logs and tracking job progress
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively throughout the shift
• Requirement to possess or purchase basic required hand tools for shop setup
