Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in sterile processing License: Certification required Certifications: CBSPD or CRCST through HSPA Must-Have: Experience with decontamination of various items Experience assembling instruments in multiple service lines Familiarity with sterilization processes (sterrad and steam) High-level disinfection/scope experience Experience with sterile storage Knowledge of Censitrac tracking system Medivator experience Description: Seeking candidates experienced in all areas of sterile processing. Responsibilities include the decontamination of items such as drills, scopes, and surgical instruments. Candidates will assemble instruments across various service lines, including trauma. Experience with sterilization processes, including both sterrad and steam, is required. High-level disinfection and sterile storage knowledge is essential. Experience as a liaison between operating rooms and sterile processing is important. Candidates must be proficient in tracking sterilized instrumentation and managing instrument trays across services. This position requires working weekends from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM and may include occasional holidays. Candidates must comply with strict credentialing processes, including fingerprinting.
