Hello my furry and (non-furry) friends. I want to talk about water today. I’m sure you have all seen those cute cat videos of cats getting a bath. Maybe I’ll make one too someday, oh wait, maybe not! I love to drink water. I’ve love to drink water ever since I was a kitten. I like it ice cold the best. When daddy fills my bowl up with fresh cold water, I get excited and have a drink. I also like to jump into the bathtub after someone takes a shower. I will play with the little bit of water on the bottom of the tub and I’ll lick the water off the shower curtain. I usually get into some trouble for licking the shower curtain, but aren’t cats supposed to drink a lot of water. If someone is taking a bath, I like to lean over the tub and dab my paw in the water and have a taste of it. Sometimes I’ll just have a drink. I like to jump up on the side of the tub too, but one day I fell into the bath and I was not a happy kitty! I quickly clawed my way out of the tub, with a little help, but I didn’t like that too much. I don’t mind when I get a bath sometimes though, but it needs to be a real quick one please! If you leave some water in a glass out in the room, I’m happy to share your water with you, because what are friends for right? I’ll share my water with you too if you want some. I like to watch it rain too, but living in California, I haven’t had much to watch. One time there was a bit flash of light and then I heard a big vacuum cleaner outside turn on. It scared me and I ran under the bed with Soda. I kept seeing flashes of light and noise for a few minutes. I don’t like that at all. Well, friends, now I’m thirsty! Off for a drink.
The Cow Cat Facts:
Scotch has always been a good cat and didn’t need training on drinking enough water. In fact, he drinks a lot of water, which of course means he is very healthy and that we buy a lot of kitty litter. Soda like to take after Scotch, her “big brother” so she usually ends up doing what he does, so she also likes to drink a lot of water. Scotch also really likes when he gets wet cat food. He doesn’t get it all the time, but it sure is a treat. Then of course he is thirsty and it’s time to drink water. Sometimes we put a few ice cubes in the water dish, and he likes to push them around and try and lick the ice.
