Hi all my cute kitty friends and owners! It’s grooming day, and I can say I’m not too impressed. My daddy likes to keep my nails trimmed, but it really is hard for me to scratch up anything afterwards. But, I know I’ll get some nice treats afterward, so I put up with it.
Sometimes, I get to go outside on our deck and daddy will brush me with a deshedding brush, and I kind of like it. I like to chase the fur in the wind and try and catch it after I get brushed. My sister doesn’t like it as well, but she puts up with it and is kind of vocal about it! We get treats after a brushing too! And then we are really cute kitties!
Oh, then there is bath day. I can tell when that is going to happen as the “regular” towels come out and I can smell the shampoo. I don’t mind it too much, if it is quick. I get more treats after a bath too, so I like that. Then I have to lick myself for an hour to dry. Daddy tried a hair dryer once, but I didn’t like that so well (low groan meow). It’s loud and scared me. Now I’m ready for the runway! And more treats!

When my sister and I were adopted, the nice people at the humane society said not to declaw us, but they taught daddy how to trim our nails, even before we got home the first day! I was so excited to be out of the room and I didn’t know what was happening, so I let them trim my nails right there on the spot! I didn’t know that was going to happen every few weeks, and I didn’t get a treat then! Well, yes I did, I got to go home with my daddy and my sister!
